South Park Commons is a community of technologists ideating and validating what to build next. We believe this shouldn’t be done alone. Our members range from exited founders and highly-cited researchers to new graduates and first-time entrepreneurs. What unites us is ambition, ability, and a mutual commitment to helping each other navigate -1 to 0.

We focus on highly technical builders in the -1 to 0. Over the last decade, we have had 1,000 members join us to start companies, pursue research, and work on other ambitious projects.

Sara
Sara Du cofounded Alloy, an iPaaS backed by $27M from a16z, BCV, YC, & others. Originally from Atlanta, she did a year at Harvard before dropping out and accepting the Thiel Fellowship. On the side, she angel invests and helps other founders with GTM.
Tido
Tido is a co-founder at Koala. Prior to that, he was Chief Product Officer (overseeing eng, product, design, and security) at Segment. Before that, software engineer @ Dropbox and Facebook.
Howard
Howard founded Betty Labs, makers of consumer social apps for die-hard fans, later acquired by Spotify. Prior to that he led product teams at Facebook and Pinterest.
Ciro
Founder. Went from bootstrap to acquisition to IPO in 5 years. Really into startups, ML, NLP, Data and strange music.
Yaroslav
Yaroslav came from OpenAI where he worked on algorithms to run neural networks under resource constraints. Previously he worked at Google Brain where he designed a system to replace manual StreetView labeling pipeline with a neural network.
Kyle
Founder - Inflight.co, prev design at Airchat, Facebook, Tinder.
Claudia
Recent Oxford PhD graduate building and exploring AI solutions applied to maternal health. Interested in all things AI and healthcare.
Scott
Scott was a senior engineer at Addepar and studied at Harvard. He was the absolute winner of IOI 2014.
Kanjun
Kanjun Qiu is the CEO of Generally Intelligent, an AI research company building human-like general intelligence by evolving self-supervised architectures to tackle human developmental milestones of increasing complexity. Kanjun is interested in human agency, institutions for discovery, social technologies, and understanding what machine learning algorithms might teach us about psychology.
Abhinav
Abhinav works on Computer Vision, AI/ML, & Robotics. He is an Associate Professor @ UMD. Before that, he was a visiting RS at Google AI. He completed his PhD in robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017, where he was a MSR Fellow.
